padiddle is simply a travel game—a game to play while driving about in your car or minivan. be warned however, because it is highly contagious and does increase your risk of having an automobile accident. the basis of the game is finding objects. different objects have different point values and different actions/statements are required to receive those points. now, let's look at the history of padiddle.

my first memory of padiddle was with our YoungLife group back in high school. the scoring model was fairly standard back then, with only broken headlights being the primary search object. different vehicles had different point values. if you happened to be so lucky to locate a police car padiddle, *woo hoo*, that was prime-time points. as stated previously, this style of padiddle is the norm, you can visit Pohlman's Padiddle Page for a typical scoring model.

the new century demands a new padiddle game... the previous game is outdated and ready for a redesign. so here it is!

• the game begins when you leave homebase and ends when you return to homebase. it doesn't matter how many stops you make along the way.
• scoring can only take place while the player is inside the vehicle.
• if a player claims a score, it is believed. there is no need to verify a score as sometimes play becomes quite fast-paced.
• scoring occurs when a valid object is seen, the gesture is performed and the complete call is made. all three are necessary for points to be awarded.
• if the wrong call or gesture is made, half of the point value is subtracted from that players score.
• when arriving back at homebase, whomever has the highest score wins.
